VALDOSTA, Ga. – Once more, the Lowndes Co. Board of Elections has announced that an election is too close to call.

For City of Valdosta Mayor, J.D. Rice and Scott James Matheson were neck and neck and official results won’t be available until provisional ballots are received and counted on Friday.

Matheson led by 123 votes and most are congratulating him but there still remains a final call.

The runoff between Ben Norton (I) and Adrian Rivers was successfully called for City Council At-Large.

Incumbent Ben Norton won the race for Valdosta City Council against Adrian Rivers.
