VALDOSTA, Ga. – On September 20, 2019, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Valdosta Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of the 700 block of North Troup Street, to look for a subject who had been involved in an assault.

While officers were checking the area, they approached a group of males who began to flee on foot when they saw the officers.  Officers apprehended Tymetrius Nunn, who had thrown a bag down when he saw officers.  When officers recovered the bag, they located numerous baggies of marijuana that were packaged in a manner indicative of narcotics sales, along with several baggies containing Alpha-PVP, also known as Flakka.

The total street value of the narcotics recovered was valued at approximately $1,017. There were also tools located in the bag that are also indicative of narcotics sales. Nunn was arrested and transported to Lowndes County Jail.

Nunn has been charged with:

  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute-felony;
  • Possession of Alpha-PVP-felony;
  • Obstruction of an officer-misdemeanor; and
  • Possession of drug-related objects-felony.

“Our officers did a great job being observant and locating these narcotics after the offender tried to throw them down,” VPD Chief Leslie Manahan said. “Many children walk and have access to this area, and we are glad that our officers found them before an innocent child did.”
