QUITMAN – Willie Burns, Quitman City Manager, has resigned.

Burns, who had been in that position for a year, turned in his resignation on Dec. 5.

Burns’s departure was announced at a called Quitman City Council meeting on Dec. 18.

An interim City Manager has not been appointed.
