VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department has identified the man killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Monday.
Willie Lee McKeithen, 71, was found unresponsive at the scene. He was transported to local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Emergency personnel responded to the 200 block of Smith Avenue at 10:06 a.m. and found a Ford F-150 pickup truck overturned.
Investigators say it appears McKeithen lost control of his vehicle, ran off of the roadway, and overturned onto a resident’s front lawn. Police suspect that he possibly suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Valdosta Police Department.
