VALDOSTA – For the fourth time in 2017, an inmate has died at Valdosta State Prison.

Anthony Hann, 29, was reportedly found unresponsive in his cell on Monday, according to a released statement from the Georgia Department of Corrections.

At approximately 9:35 pm on Monday, August 14, inmate Anthony Hann was found unresponsive in his cell. Medical personnel and Officers responded and inmate Hann was taken to medical.

Local EMS was notified and arrived at approximately 9:57 pm and assisted.

Inmate Hann was pronounced dead by local EMS responders at approximately 10:01pm.

The cause of death is undetermined pending investigation and autopsy results.
