VALDOSTA — Lowndes High School’s 2016 graduation rate of 86.1 percent is down .8 percent from last year while Valdosta High School’s rate improved from 77.1 percent to 81.4.

Both schools came in above the state average of 79.2 percent, and Lowndes is a few points above the national average of 83.2 percent.
