VALDOSTA – Lowndes County voters will make several decisions at the ballot box this year, including races for president and sheriff and a proposed constitutional amendment to allow the state take-over of public schools.

The Lowndes County Board of Elections is open for early voting on the following days:

October 17 -21 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mon. – Fri.
October 24-28 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mon. – Fri.
October 29 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday
October 30 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday
October 31 – Nov. 4 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mon. – Fri.

The last day to case votes will be November 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your assigned precinct.

Local political parties are offering free rides to the polls. Democrats can call 588-1993 or 630-8486. Republicans can call 560-2764.
