VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) — On Thursday, Elaina Fryslie received a special award at the Valdosta Police Department.
At age four, she’s already saving lives. One that’s very important to her.
“She brought help to me when I was in an insulin reaction,” says Jim Fryslie, her dad.
Last Saturday, Elaina found him unconscious.
Using her dad’s phone, she called a friend who connected her with 911.
“The police wasn’t going to get in,” says Elaina.
She opened the door for officers and helped them find her dad.

“It was all thanks to Elaina here,” says the responding Valdosta officer. “She did such a wonderful job. We just wanted to recognize you for it.”
Her family and the department say they’re thankful for her courage.
“My daughter saved my life,” says Jim.
He says he was able to get the medical attention he needed.
Jim add, “She’s what makes me smile everyday.”
Everyday for the rest of his life, now knowing his daughter will be there.
