Release from Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office

Tuesday morning, around 5:30 a.m., deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call from the Krystal’s located on Lakes Boulevard, Lake Park for an armed robbery.

After their arrival, deputies learned that an unknown person, who had their face covered entered the business armed with a long gun and took money before fleeing the business.

Detectives and crime scene investigators were called and processed the scene for forensic evidence.

“This is the second robbery in two weeks in the Lake Park area and we are seeking the public’s assistance. Given the location of this business, we are hopeful someone saw something or someone in the area that may provide a lead,” said Sheriff Chris Prine.
