VALDOSTA – Continued work on the force main project under a portion of Norman Drive will began on Monday and is expected to be completed by Friday, weather permitting.

This work was originally scheduled for May 16, but was postponed due to the weather.

Starting at 7 p.m. each night, Traffic on Norman Drive between ValHalla Drive and River Street (near the Goo Goo Car Wash) will be reduced to one lane in each direction while this construction work takes place. Lane shifts will take place on different days as the work progresses. Motorists who must travel this portion of Norman Drive should allow additional travel time to account for the expected traffic delays.

Traffic boards will be in place on to alert the traveling public of the construction.

The City of Valdosta apologizes for any inconvenience during the duration of the improvement project, as it continues to place the highest priority on the rehabilitation and replacement of sewer infrastructure throughout the system.
