LAKE PARK – The Lake Park City Council voted Tuesday to adopt a golf cart ordinance and to lower speed limits to allow carts to be driven on city streets.
The council adopted Ordinance 111, which would prohibit motorized carts from traveling on roads with speed limits greater than 25-miles per hour. In a separate vote, the council also voted to lower speed limit signs of 30 miles-per hour to 25-miles per hour.
Both votes bring the city in compliance with the Official Code of Georgia, said Lake Park Mayor Eric Schindler.
