THOMASVILLE – A former Berrien Middle School teacher has been charged with with obscene Internet contact with a child.
Grady Jewell Jr., 40, was charged Tuesday morning for allegedly exchanging inappropriate social media messages with a Thomas County School System student who reported them to school officials, reports the Valdosta Daily Times.
Jewell reportedly admitted to sending the messages, according to officials with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office.
Jewell resigned from his position at BMS on March 3. He previously taught at Thomas County Middle School.
