VALDOSTA – The Valdosta City School System broke ground Monday for the new Valdosta High School.

“We were so thankful to have so many elected officials, dignitaries from our community and former board members, superintendents and VHS principals,” said Jennifer Steedley, VCS Director of Public Relations.

The new three-story facility will sit on 184 acres of land and included 77 general classrooms, 35 specialty classrooms, 14 science labs, a gym, 10 tennis courts and more.

The school is expected to be completed Fall 2018.
