Valdosta man arrested on Flakka, marijuana and other drug charges

VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department arrested and charged a man Thursdsay afternoon for possession of Flakka, marijuana, crack cocaine and other drugs.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., VPD Narcotics Detectves investigated information they received about an individual in possession of a “significant” amount of narcotics in the 2500 block of North Ashley Street, said VPD Lt. Adam Bembry.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the home.

“After the execution of the search warrant, detectives discovered and seized 24 grams of Alpha-PVP, commonly known street name of ‘Flakka,’ 1.1 grams of crack cocaine, 4.4 grams of marijuana and 130 prescription pills, including Hydrocodone,” Bembry said.

Detectives also reportedly found tools used for the distribution of illegal narcotics.

Earl Horne III, 37, was arrested and faces charges of Possession of Alpha-PVP with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Tramadol with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Alprazolam with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Hydrocodone with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Tools During the Commission of a Crime.
