VALDOSTA – The Sabal Trail Natural Gas Pipeline has gotten approval from the Federal Energy regulatory Commission to build the highly controversial pipeline which will through South Georgia.

The pipeline will impact parts of Florida and Alabama as well with a compressor station to be located in Dougherty County. 162 miles of the 494 mile pipeline will run through the state of Georgia in Stewart, Webster, Lee, Dougherty, Mitchell, Colquitt, Lowndes and Brooks Counties.
