VALDOSTA – Lowndes deputies arrested three individuals from Moultrie on prostitution, pimping and drug charges stemming from an undercover operation Tuesday.

At approximately 7 p.m., deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Special operations Division arranged to meet a woman for the “purpose of prostitution” in the 2000 block of West Hill Avenue, said LCSO Capt. Stryde Jones.

“As agreed upon, the female, identified as Tomron Folsom, arrived and then began struggling with investigators when they placed her under arrest,” Jones said. “The persons who accompanied Folsom, including Demetreus Williams, who tried to flee on foot, and Ada Slaughter were also arrested.”

Investigators searched the trio and reportedly found marijuana and methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was packaged for sale or distribution, reports stated.

Tomron Rana Folsom, 24, of Moultrie was charged with prostitution and obstruction of an officer. Demetreus Williams, 38, of Moultrie was charged with pimping, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and obstruction of an officer. Ada Joyce Slaughter, 31, was charged with pimping and possession of marijuana, Jones said.

All three were taken to the Lowndes County Jail and are expected to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

“These arrests are part of our continued effort to combat the increasing problem of prostitution and illegal drugs that are often possessed by the prostitutes and ‘Johns,'” said Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine.
