VALDOSTA – The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a freeze warning for much of South Florida and North Florida, including Lowndes, Brooks, Cook, Berrien, Tift, Lanier and Madison Counties.
The freeze warning is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday morning. Freezing temperatures are expected late Sunday evening, with minimum temperatures from 27 to 32 degrees.
A freeze warning indicates sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions may damage some unprotected, sensitive vegetation, according to NWS.
