THOMASVILLE – A 30-year-old woman was charged this week in Thomas County for an alleged sexual relationship with a 15-year-old.

Lacy Dunn Maxwell, 30, was charged with statutory rape and arrested at her home in Thomas County on Tuesday. She was released Wednesday on a $1,100 bond.

Maxwell was arrested following a Thomas County Sheriff’s Office investigation sparked by reports from parents who believed Maxwell was having sex with their child. Investigators are withholding the teen’s gender.

Maxwell reportedly admitted to “inappropriate touching” but denied “intercourse” with the victim, reports the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.
