TALLAHASSEE — Reports from WCTV state a small plane bound for Tallahassee has been found crashed.  It was last reported on radar near Greenville.

The Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed that wreckage of a small aircraft was found.  The Vans RV-4 aircraft that was reported missing on Thursday evening was found near Monticello around 11 a.m. Friday.

The aircraft went missing around 8 p.m. Thursday while en route to the Tallahassee International Airport from the Ocala International Airport.

FAA officials say two were on board but their conditions are unavailable at this time.

The FAA will investigate and the NTSB will determine the probable cause of the accident.
