VALDOSTA — A domestic dispute lead to a woman being stabbed multiple times on Tuesday.
Valdosta Police officers officers and detectives responded to an aggravated assault call involving a male and female at 603 Way Street.
Upon arrival, officers found the female, Jasmine Nelson, 22, with multiple stab wounds to her torso. Her 8 month old child, who was not injured, was also there.
The father of her child, Tevin J. Love, 21, has been charged with stabbing Nelson. Detectives determined an altercation had taken place between Nelson and Love inside the residence, and Love stabbed Nelson repeatedly with a knife. Love was arrested on scene.
Nelson was taken to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment and she is currently in stable condition.
Love is being held at the Lowndes County Jail and criminal warrants are pending for Aggravated Assault under the Family Violence Act, Cruelty to Children, and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony.
