ALBANY — An Albany man wanted by police on child molestation charges is still on the run and the mother of the child he is accused of hurting hopes the public will help police find him.

WALB is reporting that Jean Robert Washington is wanted by Albany Police and is charged with child molestation and aggravated sodomy.

His estranged wife, who did not want to be identified, says he molested her five-year-old daughter for more than two months, even threatening the little girl if she told.

“Everynight she’s waking up crying in her sleep,” said the mother. “She pulls out all her hair. She’s having problems in school, the teachers complaining. I just want him caught, so if anybody can find him or see him anywhere please call the law because this could be your daughter.”

Washington’s estranged wife believes he could be headed to Miami.
