VALDOSTA — Reports are stating an armed robbery occurred on the VSU campus Monday night.

WCTV is reporting Valdosta Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at Valdosta State.

According to the report, the robbery occurred at Centennial Hall, on-campus student housing, around 10:45 p.m. Monday night.

The report states VSU Police sent out a campus alert stating a man walked into the Sustella Market at Centennial Hall wearing a black hoodie and armed with a handgun.  No further details were provided.

Despite an armed gunman reported at-large on campus, University police stated to WCTV they believe it was an isolated incident and there’s no threat to campus safety.
