VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police report an armed robbery of a Valdosta woman Thursday night.

Rhonda Thagard, 52 of Valdosta, was about to enter the Holly Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Pendleton Place when a suspect ran up to her and forced her to the ground.  Thagard was attempting to visit her father that evening who is a the facility.

The victim reported the suspect held a gun to her head, took her purse, car keys, and wallet.  The incident occurred at 8:30 pm, just after dark.

The suspect was described as a black man, wearing black sweats and hoodie with a red shirt.

Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Valdosta Police.
