QUITMAN — A single vehicle accident claims the lives of 2 Brooks County residents.

Friday morning, Georgia State Patrol trooper William Cothran responded to a single vehicle accident on the Dixie-Barwick Road in Brooks County.

The accident involved a 1997 Chevrolet pick up truck driven by Edgar Strickland, 50 of Brooks County.  It also took the life of his passenger and brother, James Strickland, 57 of Brooks County.

Their truck left the highway after over correcting and both men were ejected from the vehicle.  They were both found dead on the scene.
