VALDOSTA — An armed robbery took place at the North Ashley Wendy’s in Valdosta Thursday night.

The robbery took place around 9:20 pm Thursday at Wendy’s, 1609 N. Ashley Street, Valdosta.  The business was still open and there were customers inside.  No one was injured.

An African American male displaying a handgun, 6’ to 6’3” in height, 160 to 200 pounds, wearing all dark clothing, a dark colored bandana, and some type of head covering entered the store and demanded money, according to police reports.   The offender jumped over the counter and forced employees to give him money from the business.

Reports state the offender then left through the main customer door and left in what appeared to be a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with another African American male driving.  They reported headed east from the business.

Employees and customers were inteerviewed by officers and detectives and crime scene personnel have conducted a follow up investigation.
