VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police announced the arrest of the second suspect involved with a backyard robbery on September 2.

William David Casey, 17, was arrested Tuesday.  The arrest was the result of a call made to police in the Blue Pool neighborhood.  Casey, when questioned by police, gave a false name.  Later, police learned it was Casey and related to the Mary Street robbery.

Casey was charged with Criminal Damage to Property, Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Assault, and Armed Robbery.  He is being held at the Lowndes County Jail pending further proceedings.

On September 2, a female victim arrived home, and as she exited her car, two armed gunmen approached her, robbing her and taking her vehicle.  Also arrested in the case was a 16-year old suspect two days after the incident occurred.
