VALDOSTA — Two suspects are being sought related to the robbery of a store on Bemiss Road Sunday afternoon.
According to Valdosta Police, an employee of GNC, 2135 Bemiss Road, arrived at the business and entered the store. He then stated two African American males followed him into the business and asked about some products in the store.
He said one of the males then pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register.
The victim and store employee, Jordan Bryant, gave the offenders money. He stated in the report the suspects then forced him into a bathroom where he was tied up with his belt. The two threatened bodily harm if Bryant told the police this occurred.
The males are described being 5’10” tall, 140 lbs, one wearing a white t shirt and gray pants and had the handgun. The other male had the same basic physical description. The two offenders also stole personal items from Bryant.
Later, a customer entered the store and heard a voice coming from the back room. She then found Bryant in the bathroom tied up. The customer freed Bryant and he immediately called 911. Detectives are searching for the suspects and reviewing surveillance video.
