VALDOSTA –  A highway accident has claimed the life of a Valdosta woman.

Early Monday morning, before dawn, the Georgia State Patrol responded to an accident on Georgia Highway 94 near Vann Road in Lowndes County.

Reports state a 2003 Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on GA 94 towards Valdosta when it traveled off the south shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle rotated counter clockwise and struck a tree with the passenger side of the vehicle.

The driver, and victim, was identified as Angela Marie Hannah, 31 of Valdosta. Ms. Hannah was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash is under investigation and the cause is unknown at this time. A toxicology report will determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. No charges will be filed.
