ALBANY — Albany Police responded to a report of a man down early Sunday morning.  It was later determined to be that of an Albany man, found dead.

Petrocelli Williams, 40 of the 1700 block of Oglethorpe Blvd. in Albany, was found dead by the side of the road.  He was unresponsive with a visible head wound, according to reports from WALB.

Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene where Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dougherty County Corner released the name of the vicitim Sunday afternoon.
