TIFTON — A road project in downtown Tifton will bring traffic changes while beautifying the area.

The city is flipping the direction of travel on Brumby Way, which is a one-way street. Traffic will now enter Brumby from Main Street and exit at Tift Avenue.

The mayor says it will improve traffic flow. They also plan to add landscaping to improve the look of downtown.

“We tried to focus on Downtown to satisfied our citizens and the people who invest in downtown, the owners and the business people,” said Jamie Cater Tifton Mayor

Money for the project is coming from the city and the state.
