VALDOSTA — Lowndes County Sheriff’s Deputies made a drug arrest resulting from a traffic stop and vehicle search.

Thursday night, around 10:15, investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Office arrested Andre Freeman and Greg Belcher after a traffic stop. Investigators were trying to locate Andre Freeman for other warrants that had recently been issued for an incident unrelated to this investigation.

During the course of the traffic stop, investigators conducted a search of the vehicle and located 37 grams of cocaine, marijuana and scales which were hidden in the car. The drugs were packaged in a manner to be sold.

Both Freeman and Belcher were taken to the Lowndes County Jail and charged with the offenses listed. The pair will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court today where a bond will be considered.
