VALDOSTA — An accident temporarily blocks the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Lowndes County Monday morning.

Reports state an overturned truck closed the northbound lanes of the highway early, but traffic was cleared before the morning rush hour began.

There were injuries reported.  WALB reported at least 5 injuries from the accident, which occurred near mile marker 9 in south Lowndes County.

The overturned truck created other accidents which lead to the injuries.
