MOULTRIE – Moultrie police have confirmed that they are investigating a murder.

Investigators said that it happened at Shy Manor Apartments on Northside Drive Sunday morning around 5 a.m.

The victim was a 29-year-old woman named Devin Devon Smith. Police are currently searching for Jamie Jermaine Stamper.

Police say they have charged Stamper in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Smith. Police have included a photo of Stamper, but also note that he no longer has a beard as shown in the picture.

He has been charged with murder.
