CAMILLA — The woman charged with murdering her seven week old baby was denied bond at a hearing Wednesday morning at the Mitchell County Justice Center, in Camilla.

On June 3rd, 20-year-old Breanna Middleton called Edison Police to her home on Tower Drive after midnight.

She told them her daughter, Kamryn, was unresponsive. An officer performed CPR on the baby, but she still did not respond. EMS took the baby to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

GBI was then called in to investigate, officials say a preliminary scan showed bleeding on the child’s brain. After they conducted an autopsy, the results confirmed the damage.

Middleton was charged with family violence battery, cruelty to children in the first degree, cruelty to children in the third degree, felony murder, and malice murder.
