VALDOSTA — A Valdosta State University student was hit by a vehicle on Thursday.

Another VSU student received charges of failure to yield.

The student, 22-year-old Nicole Lanier was walking across the crosswalk at the intersection of Sustella Ave. and Baytree Road when she was hit by 21-year-old Haley Scarborough.

Lanier was rushed to SGMC but did not receive any life threatening injuries.
