VALDOSTA — On Sunday, Jan. 11, a shooting occurred at the Ora Lee West Housing Complex at 610 East Ann St. before 11 p.m. Valdosta resident and 24-year-old, Jimmy Brown was shot.
Brown was sent to South Georgia Medical Center and is currently being treated for his injuries. He is now in critical but stable condition.
The Valdosta Police Department is investigating the shooting. Investigators have video footage of the event and are currently examining it.
In an interview with WALB, VPD’s Chief Brian Childress said, “We know it’s one of two motives. It’s either simply an argument or it was involving a gang issue. All I can tell you is we’re looking for a male offender, and I’ll leave it at that for right now. But, we do have a good description of somebody we’re lookin’ for.”
