VALDOSTA, GA – Lowndes County residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and receive assistance with online enrollment in a health insurance plan during a free healthcare assistance workshop.
The first workshop in the area is this Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the South Georgia Partnership to End Homelessness.
The workshops will be facilitated by South Georgia Partnership to End Homelessness in partnership with Seedco, the Structured Employment Economic Development Corporation.
It’s important to note that deadline for application and enrollment is March 31, 2014. At the workshop, certified health navigators will assist attendees with the following:
Evaluate their eligibility.
- Inform them of available subsidies.
- Compare options to identify the plan that best meets their healthcare needs and fits their budget.
- Provide assistance with using the Health System’s computers to enroll in one of the new marketplace exchange insurance plans.
