Valdosta Makes Progress on Sewage Treatment Plant

sewage treatment VALDOSTA, GA – The City of Valdosta has taken crucial steps forward in the completion of the city’s new sewage treatment plant. They city has received a $36.7 million dollar loan from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) to help with the relocation and preparation of the new waste water treatment plant. The loan will will be used to build four new pump stations along with piping and other equipment. With this loan the city can begin accepting bids for the project. The city projects they will begin collecting bids withing the next few weeks. The new plant is expected to be completed in November of 2015.
