VALDOSTA, GA — South Georgia Medical Center was named 2013’s Large Hospital of the Year on October 18th by the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals. SGMC was praised for its state-of-the-art renovations which have catered to community needs. South Georgia Medical Center has been actively increasing the ability for medical care to be available for the community through direct-care initiatives.  The Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals hold the “Hospital of the Year” competition annually.
