valdosta-stolenValdosta, GA- A pair of Valdosta residents have been charged in connection with a pair of home burglaries. Officials with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office say Christopher Pollette and Emanuel Trevino-Vazquez have been charged with burglary after locating stolen property on Craigslist and other social media sites.

In two cases, homes on Briggston Road and Johnson Road South were burglarized. In each instance, the homeowner had recently moved and left items, such as appliances, children’s toys, yard tools and other items behind with the intent of returning later and retrieving them. The two would then break into the house and steal the leftover items.

Investigators developed information and were able to locate some of the stolen property after it had been sold to unsuspecting buyers. Thus far, investigators have recovered appliances, tools, stereo and television equipment and other miscellaneous items. The true owners of some of the recovered items have not yet been identified.

The pair remain in the Lowndes County Jail, charged with multiple counts of burglary.
