Moody Airman’s Home Robbed, Set On Fire

Valdosta Fire TruckValdosta, GA- Police and fire officials in Valdosta are investigating a robbery and arson that took place at the home of a Moody airman early this week. Investigators say Monday morning, fire crews were called to a home on Deborah Drive in response to a house fire.

When they arrived on scene, the home was nearly fully engulfed in flames. Fire officials say flammable liquids were used to start the fire. The airman, Jonathon Santay, said a shotgun, two handguns, and two TV’s were stolen from inside the home.

No one was home at the time of the fire. Officials at Moody are asking for donations from the public of various items, including bedroom, living room and dining room furniture, a Washer/Dryer, rugs, a lawn mower and weed eater, towels/washcloths and sheets/blankets.
