Valdosta, GA- The attorney for the family of Kendrick  Johnson confirmed on Friday what family members had stated earlier in the day- the results of a second, independent autopsy are in, and they will be released ‘sometime next week.’

A press conference will be held to reveal the results, although no specific date, time, or location has been set.

The second autopsy on the 17-year old was performed nearly three months ago by an independent forensic pathologist in Florida. A judge ruled back in June that the teen’s body could be exhumed following conflicting reports from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Lowndes County Coroner’s Office, and EMTs on scene at the school.
