Valdosta, GA- The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the waters of the Withlacoochie River, effective until Tuesday. As of 2:30am Monday, the river stage was 15.6 feet, around a half-foot above flood stage.

Minor flooding has been occurring near Skipper Bridge Road, and will continue over the next 36-48 hours. The river is expected to be above 16 feet Monday before falling below flood stage on Tuesday morning.
