If you’ve noticed your phone operating a bit more quickly than usual, it’s not just a glitch. AT&T this week rolled out 4G coverage for the first time in the Valdosta area.

Prior to the launch, the fastest 4G was only available in Albany, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville. Andrea Schruijer, Executive Director of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority said the expanded coverage could help “stimulate our economy and provide new tools and services that we need to compete for business.”

The move to add 4G had been in the works with AT&T for nearly a year.
