Suwannee County, FL- A 9-month old girl is said to be in critical condition after the car she was riding in was hit from behind on CR-248 yesterday afternoon in Suwannee County.

A 2001 Saturn driven by a McAlpin woman had stopped in the right lane around 12:35 Wednesday afternoon- the driver of the other vehicle, 55-year old Rosita Arnold, failed to notice the stopped Saturn and slammed into it from behind.

The 9-month old, identified as Shiyane Brannon was only buckled in the rear seat and was critically injured. Four other children in the Saturn were unharmed. The 55-year old Arnold was taken to Lake City Medical Center in serious condition- no other injuries were reported.
