Colquitt County, GA- A Colquitt County man is behind bars after officials say an argument led to a shooting outside of a home near Omega early Sunday morning. 35-year old Virginia Gonzales was found dead in the yard of a home at 1498 CS Powell Road after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Later Sunday morning, her husband, 36-year old Fausto Gonzales, turned himself into the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office. Gonzales said a domestic dispute escalated, leading to the shooting.

He is now charged with murder- the GBI is assisting the CCSO in the investigation.
