Brody Shiver is a 10 year old student at Dewar Elementary who was recently diagnosed with a MEDULLA BLASTOMA (large cancerous tumor at the base of the brain).  Brody had brain surgery at Scottish Rites the first of May.  He and his mother are currently living at the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta while he undergoes extensive chemo and radiation.  Brody will be taking chemo and radiation FIVE days a week for SIX weeks.  Then he will have a 6 week rest and then have a chemo and radiation every 28 days for 6 months.

The Smoking Pig Fundraiser is Tuesday, June 25th.  For $10 you can purchase 1/2 chicken, potato salad, baked beans, bread, & BBQ sauce.  Plates may be picked up from 11-2 or 4-9 at the Smoking Pig.
