Valdosta, GA- A 22-year old Valdosta man is recovering after police say he was found shot inside an apartment at The Grove on Baytree Road. Police were called to the complex in the 2200 block shortly before 1:30 Wednesday morning after receiving reports of residents hearing shots fired from building F.

Aric Simmons suffered a single gunshot wound to his torso- he was transported to SGMC in good condition.

Investigators say witnesses reported seeing ‘multiple people running from the apartment’ immediately after hearing the gunshots. Anyone with information abour the shooting is asked to call the Valdosta PD at 293-3145.
