Investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office are looking into threats made against Sheriff Chris Prine by a Thomas County man in the wake of the Kendrick Johnson case.

According to the sheriff’s office, an unnamed Thomas County man posted threats against Prine, threatening ‘to use an AR-15’ on him. A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office said that the man simply was upset at how the LCSO handled Johnson’s death investigation.

No one has been arrested- investigators must first prove the man actually posted the threats.
