Valdosta, GA- The Morehouse (College) chapter of the NAACP is calling on the Department of Justice to conduct an ‘immediate investigation’ into the death of 17-year old Kendrick Johnson after uncovering what they call conflicting reports.

According to a release from the Morehouse chapter, an EMT report stated that Johnson was found “exposed from mid torso head to arms.” That same report also states that there was a “superficial abrasion to his right wrist and a finger on his left hand…and a bruising noted to the right side [of the] jaw.”

The statement of how Johnson was found appears to be in contrast with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office report, which claimed the teenager was found hanging upside down with only his feet sticking out from a gym mat.

The Johnson family has scheduled a Thursday press conference beginning at 1pm.
